The Lookbook “Met Her on Thursday” [a stunning cinematographic interpretation directed/photographed by Imani Waddy also featuring models Blake Anthony Hardy and Sasha Formosa] will be appearing on our site tomorrow 12.01.2009. Alot of work has gone into this project and with the assistance of a great team it has been realized and accomplished for your sensory pleasure. Gas’d is always conjuring up ways to express our lifestyle and how we see life. Through this lookbook hopefully you will see where we are coming from and where we plan to go. Creatively we are on that threshold to the next plateau. 2009 is winding down and we are staring into a new year, with new ambitions to really get our point across; we are placed here at in this moment of time to inspire and celebrate a vision: LOVE.

I’ve been looking forward to this movie for a long time. I remember as a child that this book was probably one that helped me to learn to read. So makes me feel very nostalgic. The fact that its directed by Spike Jonez makes it all that better. It’s release date is this Friday so I just wanted to post it and remind everyone. The soundtrack is great as well. I provided one that I think exemplifies the feel of the book.

SERIOUSLY?

GPN-2001-000009

I find it difficult to comprehend that NASA, one of the most prestigious organizations of space exploration in the world, is resulting to a violent cosmic act in the name of science [Im being sarcastic by the way b/c they would do something like this]. And for what? To find if there is water within the moons interior? Seriously? Like earth does not have enough water! You can study the abundant water from Ketsana and Katrina that left many people suffering, homeless and dead. I understand the argument that this may shed light on the creation of the moon, possible natural resources, or maybe on creation of life ect… But to do it in such a barbaric manner I believe it to be ridiculous. Its terribly unoriginal and not creative at all to think you can solve problems or gain clarity by using weapons. I thought people, especially scientist, would learn that by now. NASA plans to bomb the moon and will be executed on Friday Oct. 9th through the $79 million LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation Sensing Satellite) which carries a rocket that will collide with the lunar surface. Just writing that makes me cringe because its so ridiculous. NASA scientist plan to scan the debris for water ice that is suspected to be in the lunar crust of the south pole of the moon. Im not an expert on galactical science nor do I know anything about the lunar environment but I do know that rockets create destruction and are usually used by ignorant power hungry megalomaniacs. I understand science and the need to gain knowledge but not in such a primitive fashion. I thought NASA would be smart enough to come up with a less destructive manner of doing research. They may argue that well asteroids cause more damage than rockets and they’ve been hitting the lunar surface since its creation. I say well thats natural galactical phenomena and not an artificial man made destruction. There is a big difference. With all the natural disasters happening on earth at this moment its hard to believe that man would put their efforts, invest $79 million dollars, to cause destruction on the moon when they could harness there resources to help humans suffering right now. I find it disturbing and a waste of human’s greatest natural resource and gift: our intelligence. I do believe that harmony and balance exist in intergalactical cosmos especially on the lunar surface because those entities exist on earth. So humanity needs to be conscious of our actions and be respectful of that natural balance and boundaries that exists in our universe. Especially if we plan to bomb the moon which has always been a source of light in our darkness, influences the tides of the ocean, has always been a wonder of science; not to mention worshipped, loved, and seen as a spiritual beaken by the indigenous for thousands of years.
